Dr Serra Pitts
As a psychologist, I'll work with you to understand how relationships from the past may be influencing your current life, and explore patterns or past experiences that continue to affect you.
I am a humanistic-psychodynamic psychologist and the therapeutic relationship I offer will assist you to express, explore, process or change whatever area of your life you wish to consider. Using my own experience and expertise, I will work with you to understand how relationships from the past may be influencing your current life, as well as explore any recurring patterns or past experiences that continue to affect you.
I'm a clinically-trained practitioner psychologist and I believe that establishing an empathic, warm, and respectful relationship is the key to making the changes you desire in your life.
My experience working with the LGBTQ+ population, and identifying as Queer myself, means that we can share common ground and alleviate some of the fear and anxiety that therapy can bring. I'll help you feel un-judged so that you can be heard authentically and learn to relate to people as your true self.
Therapy is a way to deepen understanding and move towards healing, self-acceptance and a greater sense of health and wellbeing. I work with a wide range of clients including people struggling with anxiety and depression, perfectionism, LGBTQ+ issues, intimacy and commitment challenges and developing self-compassion.
